The GMS Robotics team, led by Mr. Jeffrey Tharpe, is celebrating another record-setting season with a total of 10 awards won in regional tournaments. Team 77240G, made up of Calder Adams, Anders Mikkelson, and Wyatt Reeves, earned awards at EVERY event they entered this season. They then went to the State Championship and brought home the Judges' Award. However, their work is not done yet because this award earned them a spot in the 2022 VEX World Championship! They will be travelling to Dallas, Texas this week to join the other Top 300 teams from all around the world to battle until a Tournament Champion is crowned. There are over 15,000 teams worldwide in their league, so this is quite an accomplishment. What an honor for them to be representing Gettys Middle School in Dallas! Please wish them well!
