We value our teachers and Gettys Middle is the first school in the School District of Pickens County to award a teacher scholarship beyond their district salary to help offset the increasing costs of college loans. Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, we are proud to provide the Gettys Middle School Teacher Loan Award. This award is a $1250 student loan repayment given to assist eligible teachers and certified staff with outstanding student loan debt. There are two awards given during the Fall semester and two during the Spring semester.
The winners were chosen by an awards committee, and we congratulate Mrs. Melissa Hazel and Mr. Noah Smith, our winners for the Fall Semester 2021 Teacher Loan Award totaling $2,500.
