GMS is proud to announce a quarterly writing contest called, “Dr. Roach’s All-Star Writers!” All 7th grade academic teachers may submit exemplary student work to Dr. Roach, who will review and display it. Teachers who participated this nine weeks include Ms. Lockaby, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Herz, Ms. Rodriguez, Mrs. Lambright, Ms. Ging, and Mr. Adams.
Our Q1 winners received a Star trophy and a Moon Pie and include:
- 1st Place: Santiago Lazada for his essays in both Ms. Lambright’s ELA class and Mrs. Anderson’s Social Studies classes
- 2nd Place: Joslyn Bakeman for her text-dependent analysis in Mrs. Herz’s Science class
- 3rd Place: Camila Rodriguez-Nunez for her math justifications in Mr. Adam’s Math class
